BROWSER BASED USER INTERFACE
We have spent many hours on the design and functionality of the user interface to ensure that all modules work in a consistent and predictable manner that is intuitive and easy to operate for non-technical users as well as those more comfortable with using computers.
The Key principles we have applied are:

❖ A system is only as good as the information you can get out of it
Searching your business's data
All grids are searchable using a number of different, easily understandable options:
❖ Status Filters
❖ Grid specific filters
❖ ‘Starting with’ or ‘Contains’ processing
❖ Refine search
❖ Sorting by column
❖ Function Buttons
Status filters
Sales orders, jobcards, invoices etc. all have a status (Open, Closed etc.). Each grid can be filtered first by this status.

Grid-specific filters
Each grid has specific fields on it and these can all be searched for specific information to further narrow down the data returned

‘Starting with’ or ‘Contains’ processing
Most grids contain an option whereby the user can choose to filter the grid-specific fields by stating whether the field should just ‘Contain’ the search text or whether it must ‘Start with’ the search text.

Refine Search
The user can choose to search within the returned results each time or to start with a completely new search. This can greatly assist drilling down to exactly the right record if too many records have been returned by the search.

Sorting by Column
The columns on each grid can easily be sorted to ‘group’ the data returned, for example by clicking on the Customer column you could easily sort sales order by customer to find the one you want in case your customer doesn’t have more specific information available when asking about a particular order.

Function buttons
The functions available to any ser are defined first by whether or not you have the correct security and then whether or not that particular function is appropriate to the currently selected record. For example you wouldn’t be able to Pick stock for a Closed sales order.
